Accessible Websites
An accessible website does not have to and should not cost more than a non-accessible website. This is the principle I follow when creating accessible websites with WordPress.
As an accessibility consultant, I support you in testing your existing website. If necessary, I consult with your web agency, suggest concrete optimization measures, and train both developers and web editors. If necessary, I also make direct adjustments for you, for example regarding colors, contrast, or usability. If you are still at the beginning of your accessible web project, I will support you in the conception as well as in the realization and programming.

Conception of an accessible website
Web accessibility is not only about technical adaptations, but above all about content that is accessible to all users. In a workshop, I work out the goals and target groups of your website with you and your project team. Based on this, we create a concept for the structure, content, and functions of your website.
Accessible web design
According to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, there are various requirements regarding the perceptibility of content.
These include, for example, sufficient contrast between text and background. What this means for your website, I will show you or your screen designer in the further course of the project.
If you don’t have a screen designer, I’ll be happy to help you find the right implementation partner.
Accessible websites with WordPress
When creating accessible websites, I have specialized in the implementation with WordPress. WordPress allows you to create accessible websites with the already existing on-board tools. I’m happy to support you in choosing a accessibility-ready theme, but also in customizing or creating a theme.
Optimizations of an existing website
It is sometimes more time-consuming, but not impossible, to retroactively make an existing website accessible. The work is not finished with a website audit. To optimize an existing website, I brief your web agency and the responsible developers or I lend a hand right away myself when it comes to technical, visual, or content optimizations.
Sole proprietor with network
I am a solopreneur and continue to educate myself. But that doesn’t mean I’m a lone wolf. A web project in particular requires a wide range of skills, which is why I rely on experts in my network. For you, this means that I remain your direct contact throughout the project, without you having to forego the knowledge and skills of the specialists.
