Website BKSH
Based on an accessibility review by the “Access for all” foundation, the organization “Behindertenkonferenz Kanton Schaffhausen BKSH” entrusted me with the realization of improving the accessibility of their website.
The design concept of the already existing website was the starting point. As far as accessibility allowed, I adopted the design and adapted an accessibility-ready WordPress theme.

Website “Access for all”
The previous website of the “Access for All” Foundation had grown organically over the years. The goal with the new website was to simplify the structure of the content.
Technically, we decided to use WordPress because it is important to us that the backend is also as accessible as possible and that employees with disabilities can edit content independently.

Accessible Office Templates BKZ
In 2020, the Behindertenkonferenz Kanton Zürich BKZ revised its corporate design. The corporate design was developed by Markus Ender / sinnfrisch.org
The digital document templates for letters, flyers, brochures and invitations were also revised. The BKZ required the new documents to be accessible.
How easy it is to create an accessible PDF from a document depends heavily on the quality of the source document. As part of this project, I created various Office templates for the BKZ. With the help of these templates, it is possible for the BKZ team to create accessible documents from existing programs.

Thinh-Lay Wonesky created accessible office templates for us as part of our new corporate design. We really appreciated working with Thinh-Lay again on the current project: The communication is congenial and works flawlessly, the templates were created expeditiously, and meet our expectations regarding the layout, the uncomplicated use for creating our printed materials as well as the accessibility for visually impaired persons. We look forward to more projects with you, Thinh-Lay!

Accessible Newsletter DBSV
For the “haptiBOOK” project, the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired needed a template for barrier-free newsletters.
The newsletter is now sent from CleverReach, for which I created the template. At the same time, the editors received a short instruction for the creation of an accessible newsletter.

Website Arbeitgeber Zürich VZH
The Association of Employers Zurich VZH celebrated its 100th anniversary in May 2019. The tradition-rich association took advantage of this special anniversary to refresh its website. The website of Arbeitgeber Zürich under the easy-to-remember URL vzh.ch grew organically into a comprehensive information website on topics related to employment law. As part of the relaunch, the navigation structure was completely revised – and simplified.
I accompanied the website project as external project manager. The Zurich agency evoq developed a fresh yet serious look and applied it to all print products as well as the website. The technical implementation was also carried out by evoq.

We have been working with Thinh-Lay Wonesky for some time now and we are very grateful, Thinh-Lay Wonesky revised the website texts and wrote the meta descriptions for dragonboatevents.ch. We were more than satisfied with her work. Not only that she was very fast, but also the quality and her ability to get into our business in a very short time are extraordinary. Thank you very much, Thinh-Lay. We will be happy to work with you again anytime.

Website BKZ
When relaunching the website of the Behindertenkonferenz Kanton Zürich BKZ, the focus was on accessibility. After all, the umbrella organization is committed to the inclusion and equality of people with disabilities – the website should reflect the organization’s mission statement accordingly. The challenge was initially to simplify the previous complex structure of the website to enable clear navigation on the site.
BossharTong implemented the project together with a designer. I coordinated the interface between programming and design and ensured accessibility in design and usability through multi-stage testing.

Professional Articles and Columns
A selection of professional articles and columns I have written for blogs, magazines, and trade journals.
«Machen Sie wieder einmal Schluss»
A plea for breaking up: In this column, I write about why you should end unhealthy business relationships. For the benefit of other customers, but also for yourself.
«Machen Sie wieder einmal Schluss», Handelszeitung (PDF, 164 KB, German)
«Wer teilt, gewinnt»
In this column, I write from a personal point of view about why it is worthwhile for entrepreneurs and self-employed people to blog. In a blog, you can prove your knowledge and Content is King.
